For high wear and corrosion resistanceA chemically, electrolessly deposited nickel layer records an absolutely uniform metal distribution, since no current density fluctuations can occur due to the system. Further advantages result from the co-incorporation of 9-10% phosphorus.
The nickel layer has a high hardness, which can be controlled by heat treatment. It offers very good corrosion resistance and high abrasion resistance and is mainly used in the automotive, chemical, oil, food, electronics, aerospace, engineering, textile and mining industries.
